Yesterday(Jan 3, 2009), Alaska celebrated the 50th anniversary of it’s statehood. In Commemoration, the US post office issued a new stamp featuring a photo of a musher taken during the 2000 Iditarod taken by Jeff Schultz.

The stamps are available nationwide, and can be sent for first day postmarks until March 4 2009.
